Purchase of property in high-demand locations such as Athens, Thessaloniki and islands with more than 3100 inhabitants.

Process Overview Alternative Qualifying Investment Options

• 10-year lease or time-sharing agreement for hotel accommodation
or furnished tourist residences from 400.000€ or 800.000€ depending on location
• Fixed-term deposit of at least 500.000€ with a Greek credit institution
• Capital contribution of at least 500.000€ to a Greek company,
real estate investment company, closed-end investment company or mutual fund,
subject to the applicable legal structure
• Purchase of Greek government bonds of at least 500.000€ with a minimum remaining maturity of three years
• Purchase of listed shares, corporate bonds
or Greek government bonds from 800.000€
• Investment of at least 350.000€ in a qualifying mutual fund or alternative investment fund dedicated to investments in Greece

Citizenship

After seven years of legal residence in Greece, applicants may become eligible to apply for Greek citizenship through naturalisation.

The naturalisation process requires passing the Certificate of Knowledge Adequacy for Naturalisation, demonstrating knowledge of the Greek language and of the geography, history, culture and political institutions of Greece.
